Whether your excursion to Whiteman Park is to participate in one of our facilitated education programs, a self-organised activity or just a picnic stopover, please ensure that you advise us of your intended visit before the day and register your arrival in the Park on the day.
It is important to note that there are some occasions that school visits are not possible, whether that be due to a major event in the Park, infrastructure works or, as worst-case scenarios, due to a bushfire incident. If we have your visit booked in, then we can advise you if a visit is no longer advisable and avoid disappointment both for teachers and students.
Bookings are essential for all Whiteman Park Education Programs and general school excursions to the Park.
We request that you speak to our Bookings Officer to book your education program/s at least two weeks prior to your intended visit. Bookings can be made directly by phone on weekdays between 9.00am and 3.00pm or anytime via email.
Whiteman Park will prepare a schedule for your excursion based on the program/s and activities you choose, the number of students/classes attending and your anticipated arrival and departure times. We will then confirm your booking and send the relevant teacher resource materials by email.
If there are any issues with your booking request, our Bookings Officer will telephone you to discuss this prior to confirming your visit.

Make the most of your day out of the classroom by building in some of the Park's unique offerings.
Talk to our Bookings Officer about incorporating some of these optional extras in to your excursion schedule at Whiteman Park for no, or nominal, fees:
- Hire our outdoor picnic games, which includes everything from skipping ropes to cornhole and croquet
- Tackle the Village Orienteering course
- Take a class bushwalk
- Explore the Children’s Forest with our age-appropriate Seed, Seedling and Sapling activity sheets
- Have a game of tennis, basketball or pickleball on the Village Sports Court
- Enjoy a BBQ picnic
- Go wild with playtime in one of our large, shaded playgrounds.
