Another pawsome day out for the dogs!
Whiteman Park is hosting its sixth annual Doggies Day Out to celebrate Perth’s canine community.
The family-friendly event is on Sunday 9 October between 10am and 2pm, with a Giant Ball Drop raffle at 1.30pm.
Whiteman Park Manager Steve Lowe said the popular event was about including the family pet in a fun day out while supporting RSPCA WA. Since beginning in 2011, Doggies Day Out has grown in popularity with a record 4,000 people and their dogs attending last year”, Mr Lowe said.
“While the Park is open from 8.30am to 6.00pm daily and dogs are always welcome as long as they are on a leash, Doggies Day Out is extra special in that it lets dog-owners experience canine-related activities and services in a fun setting.
The Giant Ball Drop raffle will see the release of up to 1,000 tennis balls from which participants can win a range of prizes. Tickets are $5.00 each and will raise much-needed funds for RSPCA WA. Prizes include a Houndstooth Studio photo shoot and print pack, a Rockingham Wild Encounters cruise, a Taylor’s Art and Coffee House voucher and plenty of dog-related treats and services.
Visitors can access nearly 40 pet-related stalls displaying hundreds of products and services, including those of event sponsors Vetwest Animal Hospitals and award winning pet photographer Alex Cearns of Houndstooth Studio, along with hydrobaths and a Canine Adventure Course®. There will also be a photobooth, chill out zones and more.
Free dog-themed activities including a Scooby Doo bouncy castle, doggie face painting and balloon dogs will help keep youngsters entertained.
