Fluffy golden blooms
There are 11 wattle - or acacia - species found in Whiteman Park.
The beautiful golden wreath wattle (Acacia saligna) is one of the most prolific - and the largest - wattles you'll find in the Park.
The rest of the wattle species are all shrubs, growing to heights of between one to four metres. Between the eleven species, they bloom almost year-round, so look out for the iconic fluffy yellow blooms next time you are exploring the bushland.
