Festive all year-round

The festively shaped holly-leaved banksia features spikey creamy-red flowers almost year-round. They are profoundly different in shape to the rest of the banksia species in the Park, but maintain the serrated edged leaves of their fellow banksias.

The holly-leaved banksia proliferates the Children’s Forest and northern woodlands, which are encompassed by the Woodland Reserve conservation facility. You'll find two very nice specimens in an easy walk from the Village - the first, outside the Woodland Reserve Interpretive Centre and an older-growth specimen towards the start of the Wunanga bush trail.
