Physical Access

Whiteman Park aims to be a fully inclusive destination for people with disability to socialise with their families and friends, with almost all areas of the Park accessible to all.

Attractions

Accessible attractions

The Village shops and toilets are accessible by wheelchair and there are ramps at the entrance to all buildings. All three museums and Caversham Wildlife Park are also wheelchair-friendly.

Want to go on a train ride? Bennett Brook Railway have a dedicated train carriage they constructed to enable visitors in wheelchairs to enjoy the vintage train rides around the Park.

For those visiting Pia's Place, our all-abilities playspace at Mussel Pool East, or who are simply wanting to enjoy a tram ride, you can catch a heritage electric tram from the Village, as both the tram stops at the Visitor Information Centre and at Pia's Place, have accessible platforms. Please note, however, that not all of the trams in the fleet are accessible by wheelchair due to their historical nature and they do not operate every day.

Companion Card

Many of Whiteman Park's attractions participate in the Companion Card program. Free entry is available for carers when the card is shown at Caversham Wildlife Park and the Motor Museum of Western Australia. Discounted fares are given to both carer and Companion Card holder for tram rides and vintage train rides upon presentation of the card.
