Walk in the Park: Woodland Walk
Departs from the Visitor Information Centre
‘Walk in the Park’ is a new series of free guided walks that will help you to discover aspects of the Park you might not know about!
Woodland Walk: The resilience of the Australian bush
In December 2014, Whiteman Park endured a dramatic bushfire that burnt through over 350 hectares. That fire also burnt through our protected conservation area, Woodland Reserve. But it is amazing to see just how quickly the Australian bush can recover from such disasters. Join us for a walk through the Reserve and see the post-fire recovery measures that were undertaken by the team and how the bush has rejuvenated since.
Walks depart at 11.00am and 1.00pm from the Visitor Information Centre.
NOTE: We recommend moderate fitness levels for this walking tour.
