April School Holiday Activities
The April school holidays is a fantastic time to visit Whiteman Park
with fun activities throughout the school holidays. This April we have four great shows on offer to entertain the kids:
- Silly Billy Fairy Tales: “Jack in the Bean Stalk” and “Three Billy Goats Gruff”
- Drippy Dragon
- Jolly Jim the Pirate.
- Road vs Rail

SILLY BILLY FAIRY TALES
Join Fairy Peppermint
as she tells her fabulous fairy tales… with a twist! She likes to make
them a little gross and parody the characters and you’ll love the
‘sillibilly’ ideas that get inserted into these traditional tales. You
may even get to make up bits of the story yourself! The two shows will
be AWEsome fun and full of sensational silliness!
Tale 1: ‘Jack in the Bean Stalk’
Dates: Tuesday 23 April

JOLLY JIM'S PIRATE SHOW
Get
ready for madcap fun as we introduce Captain Jolly Jim the Pirate - the
bravest pirate ever to sail a plastic boat in a bathtub! Captain Jolly
Jim will show you how to walk the plank and have you in stitches as he
tries to keep track of Rover the invisible dog and juggle his jumping
blowfish. It’s the craziest pirate show on the seven seas!
Dates: Wednesday 1 May
Times: 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm
Cost: $5.00 per child

DRIPPY DRAGON
Join
Drippy Dragon, a cheeky and mischievous puppet, and Mr Jim as they
entertain you these school holidays. Drippy Dragon creates his own
little world of uncontrollable mayhem and manages to get Mr Jim doing
all sorts of funny things. Together they sing songs, tell jokes and make
a spectacular balloon sculpture
Dates: Thursday 2 May
Times: 10:30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm

ROAD vs RAIL
School holiday fun at Revolutions.
Explore
the difference between how trucks and trains move freight at
Revolutions and take part in the Sneaky Sack Search by following the
clues to find the wheat sacks loaded onto vehicles in the museum. Guess
how many sacks it would take to fill each of the vehicles and enter the
draw to win a cool prize!
Dates: 20 April – 5 May
Times: 10.00am - 4.00pm
Cost: $2.00 per child

POTTERY CENTRE – ‘PLAY WITH CLAY’ POTTERY CLASSES
It’s
time to get creative as you explore the wonderful world of clay.
Children have an opportunity to create clay masterpieces using their
best tools – their hands and imaginations!
Dates: Tuesday 23, Wednesday 24 April
Tuesday 30 April, Wednesday 1 May
Times: 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.00pm
Cost: 6 years and under $8.00 for 1 hour, 7 years and up $10.00 for 1 hour, $13.00 for 1.5 hours
Location: Pottery Centre, Village
Note: Pieces will be fired by request only. Adult supervision is required.
