July 2010 School Holiday Activities
Meet the 'Kangaroo Creek Gang' at Whiteman Park
Children of all ages will enjoy the excitement stirred by Ranger West and his furry friends! This highly interactive show features a combination of costume characters, storytelling and live music... all indoors! The show is suitable for children aged 2 to 12 years, and will be held at Revolutions transport heritage centre (car park 7). Places are limited, so be sure to book on 9209 6028.
Dates: Monday 12 July, Wednesday 14 July and Friday 16 July
Show Times: 11.00am and 1.00pm
Cost: $5.00 per person
'Footy Fever!' at the Birds of Prey Flying Displays
Got footy fever? Then get into the AFL theme at the Birds of Prey Display these school holidays! Come in your favourite team’s colours, and maybe get the chance to meet Rick the Rock or Auzzie, the famous West Coast Eagles mascot and real-life Wedge-tailed Eagle! There will be footy-kicking competitions, prizes and giveaways after the show each day. Enter the draw to win a double pass to a 2010 season game too!
**Come along to the 11am show on Thursday 15 July to meet a West Coast Eagles player and team mascot Auzzie!**
All this is included in the cost of Show Admission, from Saturday 3 to Sunday 18 July, 2010. The Birds of Prey Flying Displays are held at Mussel Pool (Car park 18), with two shows daily at 11am and 2.30pm (weather permitting). We look forward to seeing you there!
Roll into Revolutions
To coincide with the new exhibition "The Long Haul", Revolutions have the following great activities for the kids during the July school holidays. Entry to Revolutions is by donation but all activities are free and suitbale for children of all ages.
Haulage Game - Based on real Road Haulage Code of Conduct rules and similar to Snakes and Ladders. Several short board games will challenge your reputation as a safe, efficient, professional and responsible truck driver and haulage contractor. There will be penalties for breaches and disregard of the Code of Conduct! Successful drivers will have their contracts renewed!
Hold the Load - Learn how to tie a Truckie’s Knot that will hold the load but come undone with a single pull!
Truck Fun - Create your own truck badge and enter Rev’s Wheelie competition.
Jigsaw Draw - Kids can search the exhibtion to find jigsaw pieces that will give them the answer to enter a great prize draw!
'Play with Clay' Pottery Classes
Get into the world of clay, with the 'Play with Clay' Pottery Classes for kids during the holidays. Mums and Dads are welcome to watch as their kids make some clay masterpieces! Call the Pottery Centre for dates, fee information and bookings on 9249 4380.
