"Wheels of Change" Transport Heritage Education Programs

Jump on board for an incredible experience of transport discovery.

Let us take you on a journey back in time as you explore how transport has changed over the years. The Tractor Museum, Motor Museum and Revolutions, Whiteman Park’s transport heritage museum, will provide you with a wealth of knowledge about the features of transport and the important role it plays in our lives.

Enjoy a scenic trip on a vintage train or tram around Whiteman Park’s magnificent parklands – the perfect way to conclude your transport-themed excursion!

Legs & Loads
Explore how changes to land transport have transformed lives and shaped communities at Revolutions, our land transport heritage centre. 
> Suitable for Years K – 7.

Tractor Factor
A tailor-made tour of the Tractor Museum where students see, hear and smell the machinery that played such an important part in the early life of WA.
> Suitable for Years K – 12.

Motorvation
Teleport back in time and experience the wonder of transport, from horse drawn carts to the modern day car at the Motor Museum of Western Australia.
> Suitable for Years 3 – 7.

In addition to the programs outlined above, Whiteman Park offers the following hands-on experiences to school groups:

Vintage Train Rides
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, its all aboard for a delightful 6km train ride through Whiteman Park's woodlands - can you spot a kangaroo?

Vintage Tram Rides
On Tuesdays and Fridays, jump aboard a vintage electric tram for a rattling ride through Whiteman Park's remnant farmland and native bushland to Mussel Pool and back.
