Are we there yet?

Revolutions is much more than the State's only land transport heritage centre - it is an engaging exhibition that showcases the far reaching impact that our transport choices have made, and are making, on Western Australian lives and landscapes.

Open your eyes to some of the fascinating land transport heritage stories, ideas and developments that have shaped our past and will impact on our future.

Revolutions is a distribution point for Cycle Instead information and brochures, or visit www.dpi.wa.gov.au/cycling/

The Transport Heritage Trail

Revolutions brings all the different modes of land transport together into one place and is the storytelling hub of the Transport Heritage Trail.

It will change the way you think about transport and how it shapes our lives and our neighbourhoods.

Make Revolutions your first stop on the Transport Heritage Trail at Whiteman Park.

The Transport Heritage Trail includes each of the five independent community groups, who each hold significant transport heritage collections, and provide rides, displays and other experiences for Park visitors. They are:
  • Motor Museum of WA
  • Tractor Museum of WA
  • Bus Preservation Society of WA
  • Perth Electric Tramway Society – operate the Whiteman Tram rides
  • Western Australian Light Railway Preservation Society – operate the Bennett Brook Railway

“Down Memory Lane” Tours

Bringing together the wonderful transport heritage and recreational aspects of the Park, the Down Memory Lane tours are a great day out for seniors groups.

The program:
Starting at 10am with a delightful morning tea and special tour of Revolutions, Down Memory Lane will take you on a fascinating look into the past with a vintage tram, train or bus ride with one of the Park's transport heritage groups.

After lunch, visit one of the other museums or simply enjoy browsing the shops in the Village Mall before heading home for the afternoon.

Prices start at $16. Program must be pre-booked through our Bookings Office.

“Legs and Loads” Education Program
