DOGS GET A DAY OUT IN WHITEMAN PARK’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELBRATIONS

September 23, 2011

On October 2, your pet pooch friends get a special treat at Whiteman Park with a special celebration just for them – Doggies Day Out!

Proudly supporting RSPCA WA, Doggies Day Out will be held from 9.00am to 12.00pm and is one of the many free community events taking place at Whiteman Park during their 25th anniversary festival, ’25 Days of…’.

Celebrating the many canine visitors to the Park, and their very own off-leash exercise area, the Dog Park, the event showcases everything a dog owner might need for their pet.

Whiteman Park manager Steve Lowe said that the Dog Park was one of the most popular facilities at the Park.

“It’s great to see so many people from the local, and not so local community making use and enjoying the facilities found within the Dog Park.”

“Whiteman Park offers such a fantastic array of attractions and facilities and there really is something for everyone to enjoy,” Mr Lowe said.

“We are also proud to be able to support the great work done by RSPCA, both with regular donations from Dog Park patrons, and from funds raised at Doggies Day Out.”

A raffle will be held to raise funds for RSPCA, and kids won’t miss out, with a range of activities just for them to enjoy too.

Entry to the event is free and there will be a range of stalls, from accessories and treats to grooming and information. Exhibitors at Doggies Day Out include Balcatta Veterinary Hospital, Houndstooth Studio, Waggy Dog Bakehouse, Perth Vet Emergency and many more.
